Rental Age Requirements:
- To Rent: You must be at least 21 years old.
- To Operate: You must be at least 16 years old.
- Children: Must be accompanied by a competent adult and are required to be passengers.
Competent Adult: A person aged 18 or older who is not under the influence of alcohol or drugs and carries proper identification.
Proper Identification: A driver's license (or a legible copy) or any other government-issued ID that includes a description of the person, a photograph, and a birth date.
Georgia Law: Jet ski drivers must be at least 16 years old and provide a driver's license upon departure. If you are 12-15 years old, you may drive with written permission from an adult aged 18 or older who is on the jet ski with you. Even with the Georgia Boaters Safety Course, an adult must accompany you if you are under 16. Tests for the course are available for a fee at www.boat-ed.com/georgia.
Check-In: Renters/drivers aged 16 and older must present their ID at check-in. If someone else booked your reservation, we need to see their ID and the card they used. Each renter's photo ID and credit card must match and will be verified upon check-in.
Launch Time & Pickups:
- Arrival Time: Arrive at the boat ramp 25-30 minutes before your reservation time to complete safety information and inspection.
- Late Fees: $30 per 10 minutes of lateness during Peak Season (May-September). Late arrivals will not have their rental period extended.
- Preparation: This time allows us to complete paperwork, perform a craft inspection, and fit life jackets.
Pre & Post-Rental Inspection:
- Pre-Inspection: Review previous damage and safety tutorial.
- Post-Inspection: Check for any new damage. If the watercraft is not immediately inspected, our mechanics will do so within 7 business days.
Safety Gear:
- We provide safety equipment: life jackets, throw cushions, fire extinguishers, oars/paddles, and anchors and lines.
- Safety gear must only be used in emergencies. Misused equipment will be charged to the renter.
Life Vests: Must be worn at all times on a PWC.
Pets:
- No pets are allowed at any time.
Cleanliness:
- Return jet skis/equipment clean. Any returned items that are muddy, dirty, or with food and trash will incur an additional cleaning charge. The renter must remove all garbage.
Orientation:
- Every operator must attend an orientation on the safe operation of the watercraft. Local and state laws will be covered. It is the operator’s responsibility to understand and follow the instructions and ask questions if needed.
